7 Days in Nepal with Janakpur

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

• Day 1: Gorakhpur – Lumbani – Pokhara – 325KM

  
  

  After arrival at Gorakhpur Railway Station/Airport, we will meet you from and drive towards the Gorakhnath Temple. we will start our journey by visiting Shri Guru Gorakhnath Temple located in Gorakhpur, which takes about 30 minutes, the district is named Gorakhpur after the name of Guru Gorakhnath Ji. According to the Puranas, Guru Gorakhnath was an incarnation of Lord Shiva. After that, we drive towards the Sonauli border which is 100 Kilometers from Gorakhpur. The road to the border is good and goes through many Tarai villages. We stop at the border for vehicle entry permit procedures that take approximately one hour. After finishing all the paper works, we proceed further. We visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, then proceed further towards Lake-town Pokhara.

  Most of the road to Pokhara goes through mountains where you can see a lot of mountain top villages. After reaching Pokhara we will rest overnight in our hotel.

• Day 2: Pokhara Local Sightseeing

  
  

  Today we will start our local sightseeing in Pokhara valley. We will visit the most popular Taal Barahi Temple, which is on a small Island on Phewa Lake. Then We will visit Bindhyabasini temple, Goddess Bindhyabasini who is the sister of goddess Durga is worshipped here. Then we will visit seti river, Seti is one of the holiest rivers of Nepal, worshiped in Hinduism as a form of Vishnu. Then we will visit Davis waterfall, which is a spectacular waterfall in the Pokhara valley. Then we will visit Gupteswar Mahadev cave you need to get down deep into the cave to visit Gupteswar Mahadev. After Gupteswar Mahadev , we will visit International Mountain Museum. The rest of the day will be a leisure day so you can go shopping or roam around the lakeside street. Overnight rest in Pokhara Hotel

• Day 3: Pokhara – Manokamna – Kathmandu 210KM

  
  

  Today we will start our journey from Pokhara to Manakamana Devi Temple also known as Manokamana which is 100 kilometers from Lake-town Pokhara. The Temple is situated on top of a mountain, and you need to take one of the kind cable car rides to reach the Temple. Manakamana cable car is considered one of the longest in Asia. Manakamana is Goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Devi Parvati. After visiting the Temple, we will return down in the same cable car and start our onward journey to Kathmandu which is 108 kilometers from manokamna. After reaching Kathmandu we will rest overnight in our hotel.

• Day 4: Kathmandu Local Sightseeing

  
  

  Today we will visit some of the must-visit places in Kathmandu valley. We will visit Pashupatinath Temple which is the most important Shiva Temple in the entire world, this sacred place is considered one of the most important temples in the world and one of the most visited tourist places in Kathmandu. The complex is on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list for decades. After then we will visit Guhyeshwari Temple which is situated 1 kilometer from Pashupatinath Temple and situated on the bank of the Bagmati River. Guhyeshwari is a Shakti Peeth. After visiting these two temples we will visit Jal Narayan Temple also known as Budhanilkantha Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Then we will visit Swayambhunath & Monkey Temple which is a prominent Buddhist Stupa and a famous monastery. After finishing all these places, we will return to our hotel. In the evening you can visit the colorful streets of Kathmandu for shopping. Overnight rest in Kathmandu Hotel.

• Day 5: Kathmandu – Janakpur Dham – 390KM

  
  

  Today we will start our journey from Kathmandu to Janakpur, also known as Janakpur Dham, which is 350 km away from Kathmandu. The city is a center of religious and cultural tourism. This famous city is known for being the birthplace of Goddess Sita as well as her marriage to Lord Rama. There are many temples dedicated to these deities in the city, mainly Janaki Temple, Ram Sita Vivah Mandap, Ram Temple, Rajdevi Temple, Janak Temple, Ram Sagar, Ganga Sagar, Dhanusha Sagar, etc. After darshan puja in all temples. Overnight rest in Janakpur Hotel.

• Day 6: Janakpur – Chitwan National Park – 240KM

  
  

  Today we will start our journey from Janakpur to Chitwan, also known as Chitwan National Park, which is 240 km away from Janakpur. After reaching Chitwan National Park, we will rest for sometime at our hotel. Then in the evening enjoy the local Tharu cultural dance program and Overnight rest in Chitwan Hotel.

• Day 7: Chitwan – Gorakhpur- 250KM

  
  

  Today is the last day of our journey, we will wake up at around 5:00 am and see wildlife through jeep safari and elephant safari in the jungle and after safari come back to the hotel, Today we will start our journey from Chitwan to Gorakhpur which is 250 km away from Chitwan. on the way we will visit Shashwat Dham is a Hindu religious site
